MS Dhoni bags the Man of the Match award for his superlative knock with the bat.
!
A vintage performance by Men in Blue and this is also the first time since December 2008, India have beaten England in a cricket match. They fared well with the bat, were impressive with the ball and the fielding was top class.
!
Chasing 301 on a turning wicket, England needed a solid platform. But it never happened as they kept on losing wickets. Cook and Trott steadied the run chase somewhat with a 71 run stand for the third wicket but once this stand was broken they fell like nine pins. India's bowling was right on the money. The spinners, Jadeja and Ashwin hunted down six wickets between them and utilized the conditions to perfection. Umesh Yadav also impressed with his pace and was also awarded with a couple of wickets.
!
A comprehensive win for the Blue brigade. They have completely outplayed England in every facet of the game and have registered an emphatic victory. A thorough professional performance by Dhoni's boys as they take a 1-0 lead in the 5-match series. Courtesy this win, India move to fourth spot in the ICC's ODI rankings, swapping positions with England.

OUT! INDIA WIN BY 126 RUNS! Ashwin bowls an off-spinner on off, Dernbach sits down on one knee for the sweep shot but misses and the ball turns in to disturb the stumps. The Indian players are ecstatic and are hugging each other. Now, they shake hands with the opposition and exchange pleasantries!
